InBrief at World Football Summit Madrid 2026 | 15-16 September

Connecting with the global football community together with GSIC

This week, InBrief joined the global football community at World Football Summit Madrid 2026, together with GSIC powered by Microsoft.

Held on September 15–16 at La Nave in Madrid, the 10th anniversary edition of World Football Summit brought together more than 2,500 football industry professionals from over 80 countries, with leaders from clubs, leagues, federations, investors, brands, technology companies and media organizations.

Two days of conversations, meetings and new connections offered a clear view of how quickly the football industry is evolving.

Technology is becoming part of the game

Throughout the event, one message was particularly relevant to us: technology is no longer simply supporting football operations. It is becoming an integral part of how the game is produced, distributed, experienced and monetized.

Artificial intelligence was part of a broader conversation around the future of the industry, alongside investment, governance, women’s football, stadiums, ticketing and new approaches to fan engagement.

For InBrief, this is exactly where the opportunity lies.

Our AI agents help sports organizations transform live and archived video into ready-to-publish content, identifying key moments and supporting media teams throughout clipping, editing, reframing, enrichment and distribution workflows.

Football generates an extraordinary amount of content every day.

The challenge is increasingly about turning that content into something relevant for different audiences, platforms, languages and formats — while maintaining control of the editorial process.

At WFS Madrid, we had the opportunity to exchange ideas with people from across the football ecosystem and discuss how AI-powered media automation can help rights holders, leagues, clubs and broadcasters make more of every moment.

And, as always, the most valuable part of an event like WFS is the people: new conversations, new perspectives and new opportunities to build the future of sports media together.

A special thanks to GSIC powered by Microsoft for bringing together its community and supporting connections across the sports innovation ecosystem. GSIC partnered with World Football Summit for the Madrid event and provided its members with opportunities to participate in the WFS ecosystem.

One moment. Many stories.

See you at the next one.
